Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of DeckPlanet (the "Service"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility and Account Responsibilities

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service, and you must self-attest to meeting our minimum age requirement when you create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law;
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users;
• Upload content that infringes the intellectual property rights of others;
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems;
• Scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the normal operation of the Service;
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.

3. User-Generated Content

The Service allows you to create and share content, including decks, collections, want lists, and comments ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content. By posting User Content, you grant DeckPlanet a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute that content as necessary to operate and provide the Service.

You are solely responsible for your User Content and represent that you have the necessary rights to post it. We may remove User Content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

4. Intellectual Property

The DeckPlanet name, logo, website, and software are owned by DeckPlanet and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Card names, card text, card images, game rules, and other trading-card-game intellectual property referenced or displayed on DeckPlanet belong to their respective game publishers and rights holders, not to DeckPlanet. DeckPlanet is an independent, unofficial companion platform for deck building and card database browsing, and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Bandai, Riot Games, Fantasy Flight Games, Lucasfilm (Star Wars: Unlimited), or any other game publisher unless explicitly stated. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.

DeckPlanet was created under Riot Games' "Legal Jibber Jabber" policy using assets owned by Riot Games. Riot Games does not endorse or sponsor this project.

5. Memberships and Premium

DeckPlanet offers optional paid supporter memberships that unlock DeckPlanet Premium. Card data and card images remain free for everyone; Premium unlocks DeckPlanet's own tools.

• Sold through third-party platforms. Memberships are sold and billed by third-party platforms, currently Patreon and Metafy, which act as the seller and payment processor. Your purchase is subject to that platform's terms, including its refund, tax, and fee policies. DeckPlanet does not process or store your payment information.
• Automatic renewal and cancellation. Memberships renew automatically each billing period (monthly, or yearly where offered) until you cancel. You can cancel at any time on the platform you joined; cancellation takes effect according to that platform's rules.
• Same Premium on every paid tier. Every paid tier unlocks the same DeckPlanet Premium features. Higher tiers add only community perks, such as Discord roles and channels or votes in roadmap polls.
• Activation. To receive Premium you must connect the same Patreon or Metafy account to your DeckPlanet account. Discord perks require connecting your Discord account and being a member of the DeckPlanet Discord server.
• When access ends. Premium and community perks end when your membership ends, lapses, or is cancelled, or if a payment is refunded or charged back. Disconnecting the linked account (in your account settings for Metafy, or by contacting us for Patreon) also ends access through that account.
• Changes. Premium features and community perks may change over time as the Service evolves.
• No games of chance. Memberships do not include raffles, lotteries, randomized rewards, or any form of gambling.

6. Termination

You may stop using the Service, or request deletion of your account, at any time via your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in unlawful conduct, or posed a risk to the Service or other users.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

Affiliate links and third-party listings

The Service links to third-party marketplaces, including eBay, TCGPlayer, and CardNexus. Some of these links are affiliate links, and DeckPlanet may earn a commission from qualifying purchases made through them. Prices, availability, and listing details come from those marketplaces, may change at any time, and may be out of date. DeckPlanet is not a party to any purchase you make on a third-party marketplace, and that purchase is governed by the marketplace's own terms.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DeckPlanet and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service.

We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and, for material changes, we will provide additional notice where appropriate. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
