Our event format was Preside BO1
Take their cards, bury them in your opponents deck faster than they can draw out of it. Great for a heavy blue meta!
SCR Gohan was literally made for this kind of deck, forcing the most bonkers turn 3 awakenings ever seen when he showed up. Stuff like 8 drop Hiru swing, play 9 drop, topdeck a battle and pick a card to bury, into pop for hiru, ramp to 4 awaken untap 2, (usually hitting legs into4) swing lead bury another from hand. play beast gohan, swing, ready and lead, lead goes in again, buries another draws another. beast in again thats a super easy 4 to 6 cards stacked from hand to deck. possibly more if you can pop the 4 into the 6 and then force a discard 2 or chain to another 9. BONKERS stuff.
Colossal Malice neg can't be countered so very strong pairing into R/Y Syn and a few other aggro lists. Unison and 4 drop green hiru goes bonkers into lists trying to build Z energy and they hard counter Gohan rares. (they are so overvalued right and i negated one every single game but Black.)
Pairings were:
Golden frieza- win
Blue Baby - Win
Black Towa - Loss
Blue Gohan aggro - Win
Beerus Ramp - Win.
Black towa was a sloppy brick and i deserved that loss. Blue Gohan Misplayed his combos forgetting about unison and 4 drop and i stole that win. Top cut was a beerus ramp rematch. where i won on a clutch random pick from colossal malice burying their game ender.
Finals was gamma hitting the nuts for counterplay 18s (he hit all 4 by turn 4) so i couldnt start the chain, and when i finaly could i was at 1 life. GG's to all.
Hardest part of this deck is the ancient leader's side 1. being forced to discard battle cards to draw 2 is rough as all parts of this list feel irreplacable. Leader locked swings hurt as well. but the awakened side is what Raditz dreams of in his wildest, wettest dreams. Add gohan SCR and the payoff is insane.
